Like the WasteMaster system most dehydrators are capable of processing all types of organic waste in a short space of time. However, dehydrators use extreme temperatures to ‘cook’ the waste. This requires large amounts of power as well as destroying the nutrient and calorific value of the waste. Foodwaste treated this way, when spread on landfill, simply adds to greenhouse gas production. Foodwaste treated in a WasteMaster machine will not add any greenhouses gas and can be used in either biomass boilers (because of the calorific value) or for food production.
